How to hire a freelance professional

Hiring a freelancer for a project

IMPORTANT: Every project you post is verified before making it accessible for freelancers to apply. Notice that including a mobile phone number or an email in project description will render it invalid and will therefore be declined.
TIP: Always request for an update of the project before you settle the payment for an invoice. Again, any payment made to the freelancer is non-refundable. We entreat you to inspect the progress of the job before making any payment. Payment will be transferred to the freelancer shortly after we receive it. Many at times, freelancers will request for payment based on the divisions of the project as in finishing one task and charging for that before moving to the next task. That is usually referred to as a Milestone.

Select the category you want hire for.

Add the title, description, amount, experience level and a few other details to complete the job posting.
Step 4
Accept the terms and conditions associated with Cedijob.
Step 5
Wait for us to review the project.
Step 6
Once the project is accepted, you will receive an email notification.
Step 7
The project is then opened for applications from various freelancers.
Step 8
View applications from freelancers and send contracts to your favourite applicants.
Step 9
Wait for a contract response from freelancers and accept the one you want
NOTE: You can only hire one person for a project. To hire multiple people, post the project multiple times.
Step 10
The freelancer can finally start working on the project.
Step 11
Our dashboard gives you more control on managing the project from start to finish. Note: The freelancer will be sending you invoices for payment to be made. You can also pay before he/she sends you an invoice.

  • Wait for professionals to review your contract and respond.
  • Once you get the responses from professionals, accept the contract of your favourite for project.
  • Use a dashboard to track the progress of the project.
  • The dashboard is used to make payment, see invoices you've received, time spent on the project, messages, and files shared. etc.
  • Review the project and share your opinion on what you think about the job done.

HIRING ARTISANS

  • NOTE: ALL PAYMENTS GO THROUGH CEDIJOB. PAYMENT CAN BE MADE WITH CREDIT CARDS, MOBILE MONEY, ETC. BUT NOT BANK TRANSFERS.
  • Post your job.
  • Choose the job category you want. Example: Masonry, Plumbing, Electricals, Painting. etc.
  • Provide the location of the job.
  • Get a list of artisans/workers who are within the job category and are closer to the location of the job.
  • Choose your favorite for the job. Check their reviews, and view profiles.
  • Be on standby for a job review.
  • Speak to the worker and share information on where to meet, time and other details.
  • See the worker's Cedijob ID and scan to verify whether he/she is a verified member of Cedijob. This is necessary check for security reasons. Do not skip this check.
  • Start the job. Please note that we will call you for enquiries on the progress of the job.
  • Use a dashboard to track the progress of the project.
  • The dashboard is used to make payment after the job is done.
  • Review the job and share your opinion on what you think about the job done.
