How to purchase a service

Buying a freelance service from the Services Catalog

EXAMPLE: Instead of posting a project to hire a web developer, the web development can post a service as a product with description matching the website project you want to hire for. The freelancer will list them in packages and set different fixed amounts for whichever package you want to purchase. With this feature you eliminate the hassle of having to look through multiple applications before hiring a professional. Also reviews are made on these services to boost confidence and visibility on the part of clients.

Search for the category you want to hire for.
Step 3
See a list of services listed as products that are available for sale.
Step 4
See reviews, check profiles and portofolios of the sellers and choose your favourite service.
Step 5
Select the package (Basic, Standard, Advanced) you want and go ahead to preview the item details.
Step 6
Make payment with payment cards or Mobile Money.
Step 7
Submit the requirements for the service item purchased. Requirements are what the freelancer or seller need from you for the project to start. For instance, a professional may ant a link to a website you want your upcoming website to mimic or resemble. Another example is when a seller asks for the color of the logo you want him or her to design.
IMPORTANT: The seller will need the requirements before the project starts.
Step 8
Wait for the seller to start working on the service purchased.
Step 9
Track the progress with the dashboard.
Step 10
Review the job done and rate your experience.
Step 11
Payment gets transferred to the seller after the job is approved and reviewed.

  • Send contracts to your favourite professionals.
  • Wait for professionals to review your contract and respond.
  • Once you get the responses from professionals, accept the contract of your favourite for project.
  • Use a dashboard to track the progress of the project.
  • The dashboard is used to make payment, see invoices you've received, time spent on the project, messages, and files shared. etc.
  • Review the project and share your opinion on what you think about the job done.

HIRING ARTISANS

  • Choose the job category you want. Example: Masonry, Plumbing, Electricals, Painting. etc.
  • Provide the location of the job.
  • Get a list of artisans/workers who are within the job category and are closer to the location of the job.
  • Choose your favorite for the job. Check their reviews, and view profiles.
  • Be on standby for a job review.
  • Speak to the worker and share information on where to meet, time and other details.
  • See the worker's Cedijob ID and scan to verify whether he/she is a verified member of Cedijob. This is necessary check for security reasons. Do not skip this check.
  • Start the job. Please note that we will call you for enquiries on the progress of the job.
  • Use a dashboard to track the progress of the project.
  • The dashboard is used to make payment after the job is done.
  • Review the job and share your opinion on what you think about the job done.
